The Justice School will be featured on Channel 7's Asian Focus! A wonderful first class!
A few updates for everyone!
First off, I had the honor of talking about the Justice School on Asian Focus, a news show for Channel 7 News. It will air April 8th 2008. I will post photos from the interview. Hopefully this will help get the word out about our awesome social justice program.
Our first class went wonderfully, the students enjoyed their time and also learned a lot about their perception of what a peaceful world is. We brainstormed a list of word associations about the word peaceful and world. Afterwards the students created collages and drawings depicting a peaceful world. They also played name games, cooperation games and had fun getting to know one another.
Next class will be this upcoming Sunday the 16th, we will continue to get to know one another and talk about what issues hinder a peaceful world. Hopefully, this class session will bring about a discussion about what issues the students may be interested in learning about.
